Welcome to the Scottish Osteopathic Society Website! The Scottish Osteopathic Society is the regional support group for Osteopaths working in Scotland.
If you are looking for an Osteopath this is NOT the site for you – please use www.osteopathy.org.uk and use the Find an Osteopath link.
The Society was formed to facilitate and encourage communication between osteopaths and provide a framework for the ongoing education of members. We also liaise with other osteopathic groups, the General Osteopathic Council, and with other parties on matters of relevance to osteopathy in Scotland in particular. Membership of the Society is open to all osteopaths on the GOsC Register of Osteopaths. It is also open to students studying for an osteopathic qualification at an institution with RQ status.
The Society is administered by a Committee which meets regularly. Our main roles are:
- To facilitate and encourage communication between osteopaths
- To liaise with other osteopathic groups, the regulatory body, and the profession as a whole
- To provide a framework for the ongoing education of members and invited guests
- To liaise with members and other parties on matters of relevance to osteopathy in Scotland in particular
If you are an Osteopath and would like to join the Society, please contact us using the link on this site.
